Marrying an East Indian does apply some pressure to understand words like lassi, dhaniya, and dhosa.  While my lovely mother-in-law is happy to show me her pinch-of-this-or-that method, my white tongue struggles to understand  Indian flavours. So here we go, let’s talk about cooking Indian in Winnipeg…or Winndian, as it were.
